I have shoulder problems that make a regular swimsuit very difficult to get off once it is wet. I love the zipper. It makes the swimsuit top easy to get in and out of. The bra part could be better. Others are correct when they say it's a little high in the suit but I've adjusted the straps to compensate and it's now okay. I have two complaints. The black fabric color has changed to a weird navy/black blue. It no longer matches the black swim skirt I bought from a different company (and I have worn them together always). Second, the fabric has stretched out a lot. When I first started swimming, I wasn't sure I was going to get it zipped up. I thought it might have been too small. Granted I have lost a little bit of weight since swimming (and I do mean only a little unfortunately), but it now seems like it's at least 1 - 2 sizes too big. That said, do I like this swim top? I love it. I just wish it wasn't wearing out so quickly.
For reference: I bought this approximately 4 months ago and I go swimming on average 3 times per week in chlorinated water. It is my only swimsuit top and I've worn it in both a lap pool and a warm water therapy pool. I wash it as soon as I get home in cold water on a "quick" cycle in a front loading machine and I hang it dry. I use a mild detergent that has no bleach of any kind- not even color safe bleach. The photo I posted has the swim skirt from La@#'s E#d on the left and the swim top from Silverts on the right.
This product is VERY heavy.
Also, the breast cups are too high - I am able to manage them by pulling up very hard when putting the garment on.
Finally, the zipper is very difficult to get started. I chose this because of a very painful, arthritic, right shoulder, such that it is impossible for me to fasten anything behind me. So I do appreciate the front zip style.
Great!
The front zipper makes this swim suit top easy to get on but the bra cups are way too small and way too high up. They don't cover at all. I will have to wear a regular bra under it which defeats the purpose of easy dressing. It's a great idea except for that one big issue.
Mom loves this top for aqua therapy. She is now able to get dressed and undressed with little assistance! Thank you!!
